Ohio Valley Bank Chairman Jeff Smith presents a donation to bring the popular Columbus Zoo exhibit to our community as part of the annual Emancipation Celebration. Accepting the donation is Emancipation Celebration organizers Jessie Payne and Andy Gilmore.

The Gallia County Board of Commissioners nomination of Gallia County’s Annual Emancipation Day Celebration, Inc., non-profit organization, for the Ohio Historical Society’s Ohio Historic Preservation Office 2014 Public Education and Awareness Award. The Gallia County Commissioners also presented a Commendation Award from the Gallia County Commissioners for 150 years of celebrating the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.
